St. Jude's Academy Summer Camp

We are excited to announce we will be providing our families and others with a summer camp program! Very limited space will be available.

St. Jude’s Academy (SJA) Camp offers an exciting array of fun, activity-based programs for campers of all ages. SJA Summer Camp provides opportunities for exploration, creativity and personal growth within a positive atmosphere.

Our goal is to inspire campers through meaningful participation and rich experiences. SJA is committed to helping busy families with amazing opportunities for their children during the summer.

This year, we are hosting 6 weeks of Summer Camp activities led by qualified instructors. Each camp week has the opportunity for the use of Extended Care (Before Care and After Care), prices include hot lunches and snacks. Games, events and activities vary weekly with different themes that give campers a fresh perspective.

There is VERY LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE for this summer camp session due to COVID-19 and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. If you require further information, please contact studentservices@stjudesacademy.com.

SJA Educational and Adventure Fun Camp

VERY LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE 

Grades JK to 5 

  • Low instructor to student/camper ratio of 1:5 to 1:10. The number of students will follow recommended ministry guidelines. Family groups are encouraged and welcomed.
  • Students/campers will work on learning math, language, science concepts as well having fun with sports, arts and crafts activities
  • All who attend will receive an IB Summer Learning Certificate (one week =Level 1, two weeks = Level 2 etc.)

COVID-19 Updates

  • Social distancing practices will be put into place within the school/camp
  • Sanitation practices will be used daily
  • Hand washing and bathroom trips will happen regularly
  • Ratio of one teacher to a small group of students/campers. spread around the school/camp
  • No leaving the school/camp premise for field trips etc.
  • No outside company personnel, parents will be permitted in the building

All amounts paid will automatically be fully refunded should closures be issued due to COVID-19.

NEW SJA Leadership Camp

St. Jude’s Academy Camp is please to unveil our new SJA Leadership Camp.

This program is designed to prepare eligible candidates (Grades 6 to 12) to work effectively with children in a summer camp environment. The SJA Leadership Camp is ideal for candidates who show strong initiative, are eager to grow their leadership experience, have a passion for working with children and hope to continue working with children and/or pursue more leadership roles. Our goal is for participants to use the skills they’ve developed in the program at school, home, work or wherever life may take them. Candidates receive training in areas such as leadership, mentoring and instruction. The SJA Leadership Camp is designed to develop the interpersonal skills of each participant, increase self-esteem and self-confidence and strengthen communication and organizational skills.

Grades 6 – 12

  • Low instructor to student/camper ratio of 1:5 to 1:10. The number of students will follow recommended ministry guidelines. Family Groups are encouraged and welcomed.
  • Students who attend this camp, offered for 3 weeks, will receive an IB Leadership Certificate and a letter of record/reference. Students will receive a certificate stating how much time was spent at the camp.
  • Leadership Camp students will learn the values of teamwork, responsibility, self-esteem, confidence and communication.
  • The Leadership Camp students will not be able to volunteer at the regular camp due to social distancing, group sizing and restrictions.
  • $20 flat rate for the week Extended Care (Before & After School)
  • Grade 8 students receive a reach ahead credit, and students in Grades 9 to 11 receive a ministry credit once they have completed 110 hours or 3 weeks.

If parents require Extended Care it can be added for a flat cost of $20.

Students/Campers Not Currently Enrolled at SJA for 2020-2021:

If parents require Extended Care it can be added for a cost of $20 for either before or after care or $40 for both.

Extended Care

Before and After Care Program

Many parents have schedules that are quite different from their child’s school or camp schedule. St. Jude’s Academy offers a drop-in before and after camp program for families who require care outside of regular camp hours. This ensures a seamless day for our campers and parents.

Campers may be dropped off as early as 7:30 am and remain as late as 6:00 pm. At the end of the regular camp day, the After Care Program is merely an extension of the exciting camp experience.

Hot Lunch Program

St. Jude’s Academy Summer Camp offers the convenience of daily hot lunch to our campers. Menus are updated monthly on our ordering website and offer abundant, healthy and flavourful food options that cater to a broad range of palates and dietary restrictions. All lunches are prepped fresh on site by our incredible cafeteria staff and are delivered hot to our campers.
